The rules for using our website and online training courses

SafeLearn Ltd - Online Health & Safety Training

Last updated: 26/08/2026. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of www.safelearnltd.co.uk (the "Website") and any course, certificate or other service purchased or accessed through it (the "Services"), provided by SafeLearn Ltd, a company registered in Scotland, company number SC894670, registered office 2/3, 48 Clyde Offices, West George Street, Glasgow, United Kingdom, G2 1BP ("we", "us", "our", "SafeLearn Ltd"). By creating an account, enrolling on a course, or otherwise using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Website.

1. Definitions

"User" or "you" means anyone who accesses or uses the Website, whether or not they purchase a course.

"Course" means any online training course, module, assessment or certificate made available through the Website.

"Content" means all text, video, images, quiz questions, certificates and other material made available as part of a Course.

"Order" means a request by you to purchase access to a Course.

2. Using the Website

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. You must be legally entitled to enter into a contract to purchase a Course, and courses are intended for users in a working or professional context relevant to the subject matter.

3. Enrolment, fees and payment

Course prices are shown on the Website in pounds sterling and include any applicable tax unless stated otherwise. No part of the Website constitutes a contractual offer capable of acceptance by you; your Order constitutes an offer to purchase, which we accept by confirming your enrolment and granting access to the Course. Payment is processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details. We reserve the right to change course fees at any time, but changes will not affect Orders already accepted.

4. Your right to cancel

Where you are a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 normally give you 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel and receive a full refund. Because our Courses are supplied as digital content and access typically begins immediately on enrolment, by proceeding with your Order and beginning the Course you acknowledge that you are requesting immediate access and agree that your right to cancel is lost once you have started the Course, or once the Course has been fully accessed or a certificate issued, whichever is earlier. Where you have not started the Course, you may request a cancellation and refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting us using the details below.

5. Access to Courses and Content

On successful enrolment, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the relevant Course for your own individual learning use. You must not share your login details, reproduce, resell, publicly display or distribute any Content, or allow any other person to access a Course using your account. We may suspend or withdraw access to a Course where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

6. Assessments and certificates

Courses that include an assessment require a minimum pass mark, as stated on the Course page, before a certificate is issued. Certificates are generated based on the assessment results and information you provide and are made available for download on successful completion. It is your responsibility to check that a certificate meets the requirements of your employer, client, regulator or accrediting body before relying on it; while we aim for our Courses to be relevant and useful for the sectors described on the Website, we do not guarantee that any particular organisation will accept a certificate.

7. Intellectual property

All Content, course materials, the SafeLearn name and logo, and the Website itself are owned by or licensed to SafeLearn Ltd and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Except as needed for your own personal learning use under Clause 5, you must not copy, modify, reproduce, republish or create derivative works from any Content without our prior written permission.

8. Availability and changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Website and Courses available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access, and we are not liable for temporary unavailability caused by maintenance, technical issues, or matters outside our reasonable control. We may update, revise or discontinue a Course or its content from time to time, including to reflect changes in law, regulation or guidance, and will take reasonable steps to notify affected learners of material changes.

9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law. Subject to that, our Courses provide general training and awareness on the subject matter described and are not a substitute for a site-specific risk assessment, professional advice, or your own statutory duties as an employer or employee. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on Content outside the purpose for which it was provided. Our total liability to you in respect of any Course is limited to the fees you paid for that Course.

10. Termination
You may stop using the Website at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or access to a Course if you breach these Terms, engage in conduct that we reasonably consider harmful to us or other users, or where required by law.

11. Data protection

Our use of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these Terms. Please read them alongside this document.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how we operate the Website. The current version will always be available on the Website with the date it was last updated. Continued use of the Website after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the law of Scotland. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Website will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. This does not affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer, including the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK in which you live.

14. Contact us

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at kenny@safelearnltd.co.uk or write to SafeLearn Ltd, 2/3, 48 Clyde Offices, West George Street, Glasgow, United Kingdom, G2 1BP.
